Procell microchanneling Wollongong

The next generation of microneedling.

Procell Therapies, also known as microchanneling, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a device with fixed-depth tips to create hundreds of thousands of uniform microchannels in the skin's outer layers. Immediately after the microchannels are created, a growth factor serum is applied. Procell's serum contains growth factors and cytokines derived from human bone marrow, stem cell cultures, the same proteins your skin naturally produces to repair and rebuild collagen, delivered in a hyaluronic acid suspension.

What is Procell Microchanneling?

Advanced microchanneling designed to support collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer and more evenly textured skin.

Procell Microchanneling is a professional skin-rejuvenation treatment for concerns including fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven texture and visible signs of ageing. It offers a precise alternative to traditional microneedling, with minimal downtime for many clients.

The treatment is performed using the Procell Therapies microchanneling device, which creates consistent microchannels through a controlled stamping action. A specialised growth-factor serum is applied during treatment to support the skin’s natural renewal response and enhance collagen and elastin production.

Over time, Procell Microchanneling can improve skin texture, firmness and overall quality, creating a smoother, healthier and more rejuvenated-looking complexion. A professional skin consultation is required to determine whether the treatment is suitable for your skin and concerns.

Six Reasons to Book a Skin Treatment

Innovative microneedling for skin renewal

Microchanneling fixed-depth stamping technique creates uniform channels utilising a growth factors serum.

Supports genuine collagen production

The growth factor serum works with the microchannels to encourage your skin's own collagen and elastin production, rather than relying on the injury response alone.

Improves fine lines and acne scarring

Procell microchanneling is effective for fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and general skin texture concerns.

Addresses pigmentation and skin barrier health

Procell microchanneling can also help with hyperpigmentation and skin barrier health by supporting the skin's natural renewal process.

Enhances serum absorption

The microchannels created during treatment significantly increase the skin's ability to absorb active ingredients, making any follow-up skincare more effective.

Suitable for a wide range of skin types

Microchanneling growth factors may make it a suitable treatment for clients with more sensitive or reactive skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Procell Therapies, and how does it work?

Procell Therapies is a microchanneling treatment that uses a device with fixed-depth tips to create hundreds of thousands of uniform microchannels in the skin's outer layers. This triggers your skin's natural healing response, prompting the production of new collagen and elastin. A growth factor serum is applied immediately after, working with the open microchannels to support the process.

  • How is Procell Therapies different to traditional microneedling?

Procell uses a stamping technique rather than a rolling or oscillating motion.  This creates more uniform channels with less tearing and dragging while still triggering the same collagen-building response.

  • What is in the Procell growth factor serum?

The serum contains growth factors and cytokines derived from human bone marrow stem cell cultures, delivered in a hyaluronic acid suspension. These are the same types of proteins your skin naturally produces to repair itself. The serum contains no human, animal or plant cells, DNA or blood.

  • What skin concerns can Procell Therapies address?

Procell is effective for fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, and general skin texture and tone concerns.

  • Is Procell Therapies painful?

Numbing cream isn't typically required, though we can apply it if you prefer. You may feel mild pressure or warmth during treatment.

  • Is there downtime after Procell Therapies?

Downtime is generally minimal. Your skin may appear mildly red immediately after treatment, similar to a light flush, which typically settles within a few hours to a day.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Most clients see initial improvements after one treatment, with a course of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart recommended for more noticeable, longer-lasting results, depending on your skin concerns. Your therapist will recommend a plan during your consultation.

  • Who is not suitable for Procell Therapies?

Procell Therapies isn't recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing, have an active inflammatory skin condition, a significantly impaired immune system, uncontrolled diabetes, a bleeding disorder, or a known stainless steel allergy. Your therapist will confirm suitability during your consultation.

  • How should I care for my skin afterwards?

Wait at least 90 minutes before applying anything to the treated area. Your skin may remain pink or lightly red during this time. After that, you can apply moisturiser, though it's best to avoid strong active ingredients for a few days while your skin is more sensitive. Your therapist will provide full aftercare instructions after your session.

  • When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Many clients notice an improvement in skin quality within the first 24 hours, with continued improvement as new collagen builds over the following weeks. Results can last a long time with the right maintenance plan, and your therapist can recommend ongoing sessions to prolong the benefits.
